I've been working on a new collection for months. I've been teasing it for months! This is my first official collection, though, and the world has been burning around us - making it very difficult to finish.
But I have an idea.
The collection is inspired by Arcosanti and is made in partnership with them. Arcosanti is a truly special oasis in the desert that centers community, creativity, nature (and cats). All of my favourite things. I visited in February, fell in love with the place, and immediately designs started popping into my head. In the months since, Arcosanti and I have come to an agreement where 25% of my sales from this collection will go to them.
So I've been designing and scheming and building and manufacturing. But my brain is exhausted. There are other things going on in the world that are much more important to me than my business and I want to fight those fights - but I can't do that and launch a collection by June 15th.
So we're breaking the collection down.
We are doing this one piece at a time.
I've been making small batches of all of the designs for this collection. As these small batches are finished, I will upload them straightaway. There will be no big traditional launch. You can just buy pieces as I release them. And since shipping is always free, there's no benefit to ordering everything together (as you would with a traditional launch) vs. ordering as they are released individually.
I'm really excited about the prospect of smaller achievable goals. I'm even more excited about the prospect of finally sharing these designs with all of you.
