I'm Hamaila (huh-my-luh) - the designer and creator behind this jewelry brand. If you're anything like me, you spend most of your time curating your life. How you look is important to you. I'm here to make the jewelry part of it a little bit easier.

I know how valuable unique everyday pieces are. I used to spend so much time trying to find unique jewelry that spoke to me and would effortlessly pull together any outfit. Now I have one pair of earrings I wear over 300 days a year and I want to help you find the pieces you'll reach for over and over again.

As a young child, I would take apart earrings and use those earring hooks to create bold, dramatic new earrings from things I found around the house. I was fascinated by how much my outfits and confidence changed simply by adding unorthodox items to earring wires. In high school I became known for these elegant earrings that were actually just salt and pepper packets on delicate chains! Looking back now, it's obvious I was meant to design jewelry but at the time I thought pharmacy was my true calling and I somehow ended up in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas.

...It wasn't a good fit. I failed out of pharmacy school in 2013 and I only knew I didn't want to use my nutrition degree. I wanted to design; I wanted to make things that are beautiful and useful and did good in the world. After a few years of working in museums, I started taking classes at my local college again. I started with drafting and graphic design and eventually segued into woodworking and metalworking. My professor recommended I look into the jewelry program at school and the rest is history. I fell in love, switched over to jewelry full-time and within a few months launched this website.  My dream had always been to design beautiful furniture and accessories for your house; I ended up making beautiful accessories for you.

Now I'm building up a company that embodies my love of design and my love of community and philanthropy. It’s not an easy process, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
