My earliest memories around jewelry all involve Eid. When I was little, preparations for every Eid would including going and picking out jewelry to match our brand new Eid outfits. For so many years, Eids were the two times a year I would get new jewelry. I have memories of being around 5 years old and picking out some painted ceramic dangle earrings in the BX at RAF Mildenhall for Eid that year - those were my first 'grown-up' earrings. I still have them and love them dearly.
