I participated in the ACC Student Art Sale today and my feet and legs are throbbing, my shoulders are stiff and I could use a shower. My heart is happy though.
My booth today was the culmination of several weeks of inventory building and finding time to come into the jewelry studio as much as possible. Since Monday, I've also been a madwoman at the laser - cutting boxes and earrings cards and branding *everything*. My sleep drastically reduced and I averaged a meal and a half a day. I tend to....neglect my well being against my better judgement.
However, I made a few hundred in sales over the course of the day which put my total sales since opening my store to just over $1000 and my mind is blown. I started taking jewelry classes earlier this year. My summer break was supposed to afford me the opportunity to design a jewelry line - I wasn't supposed to design a line, create a website and then launch a business. How did that happen?
Almost all of my business cards are gone and I don't think I've ever responded to as many compliments as I did today. Not to mention, a handful of friends went out of their way to visit me. I'm definitely feeling the love and in complete disbelief at the response I've been getting.
