Bowl Chair Threader Earrings

$175

Lina Bo Bardi was a designer through and through. Over the course of her life, she designed many pieces of furniture, none better known than the Bowl Chair. The chair is a semi-spherical seat propped up on a metal frame making it fully adjustable to suit the user’s needs. With this chair, Bo Bardi "introduced a new perspective in the 1950s-design world, placing human interaction in the heart of her creation...The Bowl Chair transformed the way people sat."

These threader earrings are based on a silhouette of Bo Bardi's classic Bowl Chair. Each pair is crafted by hand, to order, so please anticipate a 2-4 week processing time.

5% of proceeds will be donated to Refugees International.

Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992) was an Italian-born Brazilian modernist architect, designer, illustrator, writer, editor & curator whose work was heavily inspired by Brazilian vernacular design but reimagined into modern Brazilian architecture. Her work was often based on experimentation and her philosophy geared towards developing and designing programs and buildings that nurtured collective living. Despite less than 20 of her architectural works being realized, she left a lasting impact on how people interacted and lived with architecture.
