The restoration at Museo di Castlevecchio is one of Carlo Scarpa's most renowned works. Scarpa reinforced the existing space and then added his own touch to the spaces that needed to be entirely re-worked. At that time, it was unusual to honor the heritage of the buildings in such a manner, but it has since become the protocol.
