There are few motifs that showed up as often in Scarpa's work as vesica piscis. Vesica piscis is a motif from sacred geometry that consists of the intersection of two circles of the same diameter and Scarpa said "It is the liet-motif of my life"
Scarpa used it in everything from the Olivetti showroom, the Brion tomb, the Venice Bienniele Ticket Office. Once you know what to look out for, you will see it everywhere in his work.
