Giving with Hamaila: Bennett College
Bennett College is a women's HBCU in North Carolina that has been providing a space for black women to flourish since 1873. Over the last few years their enrollment has increased as well as the academic achievement and GPA of the students enrolled, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges felt like they fell short. The only way that they can remain accredited is show that they can remain fiscally stable by raising $5 million by February 1st.
February 1st is awfully close and they have raised almost $2 million. Five million seems far off, but every little bit helps and I'm happy to donate what I can. Please, please join me to help this historic place remain open to serve even more black women.
